Hilton Head Advice Needed Please

Hello,

I need some advice please. I will be staying with my family in a house we are renting in Sea Pines Plantation. We have never been to HHI so we are really looking forward too it! 2 families are going with kids ages 11,8,8 girls and 4 boy

Questions

1)Does Sea pines have a private beach that we can access too?

2)If not, what public beachs would you recommend?

3)We heard the bike trails are great. where are they? Do they run thru each plantation?

4)Is there anything that you would recommend as a must do attraction or event while visting HHI?

Thank you in advance!

Hilton Head Advice Needed Please

Sea Pines has a beach club which is used by the residents and visitors who are staying at the resort. It depends on where your accomadation is as to whether you can walk or will drive to the beach.

2 - no need to go to public beach. The nearest is forest beach.

3 - Bike trails are all over. You should be able to pick it up near your accomadation.

4 - See Previous thread ';Hilton Head %26#39;Must Do%26#39;s%26#39;';

I would recommend the lighthouse tour in Harborplace and the fireworks cruise on the Island Queen on Tuesday evening.

The dolphins are in abundance and the fireworks are shot from a barge in the middle of the water!

Bike trails are EVERYWHERE! You cannot miss them. For t-shirt purchases we found Camp Hilton Head to be the best.

Hope you have a great time!

Thanks fokes!

We can%26#39;t wait for some fun in the sun.

The must do list was a great reference as well!

Thanks again

You will not be allowed to bike into any of the plantations (private communities), other that sea pines (where you are staying), Plenty of bike paths on the public areas of the Island. Plenty of things to do outside of sea pines, so don%26#39;t limit yourself to the sea pines area only.

Denver173:

My family and I just returned from Hilton Head and Savannah. We had a horrible experience with our Ocean One Condo from Sunset Retals in Forest Beach. Please, whatever you do, do not use Sunset Rentals for anything. You will be so disappointed.

Sea Pines is a gorgeous area of Hilton Head. It depends where you are staying you will most likely have access to a private beach. There are loads of bike trails that run thru town which is so cute - make sure you get over to Pametto Dunes. Make sure you bring your golf clubs as the golf courses are to die for.

Have a wonderful trip,

Many people mentioned riding bikes in Sea Pines which is a nice place to ride. However, you do have to pay to get in (even a bike) and a couple years ago, you could not ride your bike in - only take it in on a car and then park and ride. Has this changed?

For the kids, you should go to Harbor Town, Coligny and Shelter Cove in the evening for the free outdoor shows.

Go to the top of the Lighthouse and read all the history of the island.

Go to the stables in Sea Pines.

You need a pass to get into Sea Pines in a car or on a bike.
