Need Hilton Head Island ';Insider'; info

Where is the best family friendly place to eat? Where are the best deals on bike and jetski rentals? Where can I get a map of the island, the bike paths, tide charts, best shelling locations, dog laws, etc. Tell me about the Bluffton area and the Gullah Flea Market. How about favoriet antique markets, artists and crafters markets, etc.

The best places to eat are Truffles..there is one in Sea Pines and in Bluffton, Frankie Bones on Main Street right near Hilton Head Plantation, Santa Fe Cafe one on the island by up from Coligny and one in Bluffton, and you must go to Hilton Head Ice Cream.

Bluftton is a lot of fun. I think you should check out Palmetto Bluff if you are looking for a neat spot to check out. Their spa is amazing.

One store that you must check out is Classic Consignments. It has a lot of cool stuff. It%26#39;s on Arrow Road, which you can get on once you head across the cross island bridge, turn left at the first light when you are heading towards the island. Then it%26#39;s a couple of miles down on the right. It%26#39;s in a small center with other stores.

Thanks for the info you shared. Now we are worried about the jellyfish. Have been told we are going during the height of jellyfish season. Any info to share on that subject would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I would avoid Frankie Bones--the environment is cool but food awful.

Sea Pines has a bike map at this website. I am sure your resort will have other maps if this is not applicable to you. http://www.csaseapines.com/bike_map_page.htm

Good luck with your trip.

Check out this blog on Hilton Head, it reviews local restaurants, golf courses and informs you of upcoming activities. I agree with a previous post that recommended Marley%26#39;s - great for the kids and if can get away try Tapas, not necessarily a kid place but my favorite on the island. Heres the blog i was referring to http://newsletter.hiltonheadvacation.com/
