We are going to Hilton Head Island in September and want a luxury condo or villa rental. We like a newer complex, oceanfront. Can you give us any suggestions? Best real estate agents to rent from?
Hilton Head Penthouse Rentals?watch out for the word Penthouse! Our local agents tend to use the word to describe a villa on the fifth floor of a condo. It usually isn%26#39;t the penthouse.
For instance at Captains Walk there are only six real Penthouses available. the entrances are on the fourth floor and they are duplexes. they each have a large deck instead of a balcony and depending on the interior work are either four or five bedrooms. I only know of two that are available for rental. One is handled by Island getaway, I don%26#39;t know who handles the other.
In Palmetto dunes look for Villa Mare, Captains Walk, Barrington Arms, Hamptons, and Windsors.
some of these date back to the early eighties, but are well maintained and brought up to date.
The Newest Oceanfront complex is located in South Forest Beach and is the SeaCrest Resort. Some of the units were built in 1997. Others in 1999, and finally the rest were finished in early 2000.
There is only one penthouse in the SeaCrest. It is owned by the developer, and as far as I know is not available for rent.
