Can anyone recommend a large house in Sea Pines?

I would love to hear from folks who had rented a large (6 - 8 bedrooms) in or near Sea Pines. What did you like about your house, and what did you dislike?

My family of 14 is looking for a house to rent in June %26#39;08. We would like oceanfront (wouldn%26#39;t we all!) but it looks as if most of those are gone already, and many are over our budget. We are looking to spend $6K - maybe up to $8K, and would prefer Sea Pines. A glimpse of the ocean and a nice path to the beach would thrill us.

Thanks in advance,

Liz

We rented a home on Dune Lane in NFB area. It was spectacular- an elevator, private pool and spa along with 6 bdrms and 5 bathrooms. There were also 2 laundry rooms! I loved this location because everything was walkable- stores, ice cream shops, coffeee shops, grocery stores and many many restaurants. We never needed our car. However -we werent%26#39; ocean front- we were one row back(there was a house between us and the ocean). Beach access was at the end of our street maybe 25 yrds away.

This was $4400 for Easter week in April(also Heritage week). Let me know if you want more info. We rented from VRBO and the owner was great.

I see #81300 on Dune Lane, but it is $12,900 a week summer, $7,500 in winter. Was that it?

Thanks!

It was vrbo 20000

Thanks, I will check it out!

I probably should have clarified that it wasn%26#39;t in Sea Pines- we prefer this area for the reasons I mentioned.

I rented a beautiful vacation home in the Singleton Beach area that was spectacular. It was located directly on the beach and not as crowded as the Sea Pines area. I rented from Hilton Head Rentals and Golf and I know they have properties throughout the island including Sea Pines. I highly recommend contacting them either through their website http://hiltonheadvacation.com/ or their phone number is (800) 445-8664. We like to golf but aren%26#39;t experts and they helped us select golf courses that weren%26#39;t too intimidating and even set up tee times for us. Also, we got a good selection of recommended restaurants and even some coupons from their staff. Tell them Amy from Colorado referred you.

Have a great trip. I love Hilton Head!!!
