bike week ?

we might go october 5-12 - heard about bike week -

what exactly is bike week? of course i have visions of

gangs on bikes - but I know it%26#39;s not the case - ???

family of 5 w/3 small kids....

aside from more traffic- would the kid-friendly places

be more crowded or elsewhere?

Heavens - no gangs, nothing that wild and crazy. MB has 3 bike events, 2 in May and 1 in Oct. You hear more about the May events because they are much larger. Oct is much calmer event, the average age of a Harley rider is 50+, so don%26#39;t panic. I only mentioned it because it does bring in more traffic, especially motorcycle traffic, and as a former rider-I always warn people to watch out for them. If you are coming with small children, you should not have much contact with them anyway, they ride around, do some shopping, etc., but mainly they go from event to event, to hang out with other bikers. So the odds of seeing them at the aquarium are pretty minimal. They will ride up and down the grand strand but alot of activities take place to the south around Murrell%26#39;s Inlet.

I think it starts clearing out by the 7th anyway doesn%26#39;t it? I been there before during the Fall Ralley and never really noticed much of a difference.

yes majority will be gone on Sunday the 7th, the fall bike week attendance is less then half of spring week
