South Point Bar??

I was just wondering if anyone knows what type of establishment the South Point Bar is? I saw it located on the map on the EdistoBeach.com website but I can%26#39;t find any additional information about it anywhere. Most of the restaurants have had plenty of info about them on this website. My family will be going to Edisto next week and we would like to have a place to have a couple of drinks without the kids if possible. We%26#39;ve been to Edisto before and know the restaurant/bar selection is limited. Which is fine with us, we like eating in, but I am curious about the South Point Bar. The map shows that it is located near where Neptune St and Billow St intersect.

South Point Bar??

I think you mean Whaley%26#39;s, which is where the old South Point Services used to be. It is on Myrtle Street, right at the Point (where all the streets curve to the right because it is the southern point of the Island.

Whaley%26#39;s was recently written up in some magazine as one of the 25 great ';seafood dives'; in some geographic area - not sure if it was the southeast, or the east coast or the whole country. It%26#39;s a dive all right - a few tables, a bar, a room with a pool table. We got some food there recently and thought it was pretty good.
