HH Vacation in September: Windsor Place or Captain's walk

Hi, This is our first trip to Hilton Head. We are a couple looking for a 1BR condo with an oceanfront view for a two-week vacation in September. We hesitate between Windsor Place and Captain%26#39;s walk. In Windsor we can have a cheaper unit (1BR instead of 2BR at Captain%26#39;s walk) , the unit looks nicer but the view is more ';oceanview'; than ';oceanfront';. Captain%26#39;s walk unit has a real oceanfront view but we have to book a 2BR unit, so it is more expensive. We would like to have access to an outdoor hot tub and I can%26#39;t see if Captain%26#39;s walk has one. Any past expericience with one of those resorts? Is one definitively better than the other? Any other idea where to look for an oceanfront view with only 1 BR? (I found Breakers but the units seem very smal for a two-week stay). Thanks in advance,

you get what you pay for.

One bedroom units do not have the best views. Captains Walk has no one bedrooms, but does have the best views. they do not have a hot tub.

Windsor may have the hot tub, but not the view.

Here are two alternatives.

Villamare has lockout units. The commercial companies may rent you the one bedroom section. They maintain a full fitness center.

SeaCrest Resort at South Forest Beach, which is right next to the breakers has some one bedroom apartments. They have a fitness center as well as a hot tub. They also have lockouts available. The one bedroom apartments are quite roomy but are located in the back of the building. the best views would be available on the fourth and fifth floors. The unit numbers would be 2405,2407.2505,2507. If you can snag one of these four you would meet all your needs.

Barrington Arms has an outdoor hot tub. We stayed there this summer and we had a nice view from#403 (which is a 1 bedroom)overlooking the pool and ocean. We booked it from Resort Rentals of Hilton Head Island. hhivacations.com Captain%26#39;s Walk does have better views but no 1 bedrooms, that%26#39;s why we went w/Barrington.

Oh, I forgot to say that the pics on the web site don%26#39;t do the villa justice. The video tour is from before it was remodeled. The view off the balcony doesn%26#39;t look that great from the photos or the video but the view is nice.
