Restaurants between CHS and MYR

We will be down soon and want to stop by a good restaurant or two on our way between airports. Anyone know if some good places between Charleston and Myrtle Beach airports? We are trying to avoid going into Charleston, but right off the highway is fine. Thanks.

If you are looking for good old fashion ';Lowcountry Cuisine'; Try the Gullah Cuisine Restaurant. It is located outside of Mt. Pleasant right on Hwy 17, which you will be taking to Myrtle Beach.

If you are looking for fresh seafood there is Shem Creek which is also in Mt. Pleasant. Easy access from the main highway.

After Mt. Pleasant, there is the town of Mcclellanville, it is small town you could blink and miss it. They have great restaurants but depending on what day of the week, you done run the risk of them being closed. mymcclellanville.net/2007/鈥?/a>

And that is about it until you get to the Myrtle Beach area. Mt Pleasant also has alot of the big name restaurants like Applebees, but if you want local, try Gullah or Shem Creek.

South of Myrtle is Murrell%26#39;s Inlet--lots of good restaurants, but far the best is Drunken Jack%26#39;s! Long wait at dinner, but good fresh seafood, good atmosphere, and the absolute best hush puppies and honey butter I%26#39;ve ever had--they%26#39;re amazing! Very casual and reasonable, too. I live north of Cincinnati and have eaten there probably 13+ times in the last 13 years or so--I make it a must-do any time I%26#39;m in SC (even when in Columbia for business!).

Sewee Restaurant in Awendaw. It%26#39;s lovely! Just north of Mt. Pleasant on Hwy 17.
