Where this is going to hit but just be aware there is a new named Hurricane way down in the SE Atlantic. It is so far away not even the weather channel is giving a prediction yet. Looks to me like it could stay to the South. Don%26#39;t get too excited about this but just be aware it is out there.
Hurricane Dean - Too Early To Tell.....
For a good site to check out the possible path of any hurricane, check out:
http://hurricane.terrapin.com/
Click on ';combined path'; or something like that, (I forget exactly) over on the right after you pick the storm you are interested in.
Right now, it%26#39;s heading to the West, and it%26#39;s very unlikely to bother the East coast of the USA, but there%26#39;s always a chance that it will fool evern the most wise.
Mother Nature is like that.
Hurricane Dean - Too Early To Tell.....
Well, If mom4boys goes on vacation.. trust me..there will be a storm
:(
one week to go
Mom4Boys,
Sound like you%26#39;ve been through one or more of these in the past. Here%26#39;s hoping you do not experience another one and the same goes for anybody up and down the coast in the next week or so.
yes...sigh
Hurricane Bonnie..about 8 years ago %26amp;
then one year.. one hit as we were on our way home..can not remember the name of that one.. maybe Dennis
Last year there was a storm..but that was not so bad..
We have been waiting all summer for our trip to Myrtle Beach. I am not stressing YET, like OSU #1 said, it%26#39;s too early to tell.
We got lucky in 2004, Hurricane Charley hit the day before we arrived. It didn%26#39;t affect our vacation at all. Here%26#39;s hoping we get lucky again!
I am keeping my fingers crossed. 3 more days! : )
Well if a storm comes I will have to evacuate to one of your houses, who has room for 2 adults and 2 cats? We feel pretty confident on Dean, not worried at all about that one. So relax everyone and start packing.
hart1,
I was glad to see Dean track westward since we leave tomorrow. I%26#39;m not looking forward to the drive but can%26#39;t wait to arrive!
Ron
I feel the same way Ron! I just want to get there! Too bad its a 13 hour drive from Long Island, NY!! UGH!
I%26#39;ve gone 3 straight years now and drove the last two years. We too have a 12 to 13 hour drive. Considering flying again next year but may end up driving, we%26#39;ll see. Good news on Dean as I just saw on the Weather Channel it is projected to move West and stay to the South possibly hitting the Yucatan Peninsula by early next week. They are keeping an eye on Mexico, Texas and even as far north as Louisiana.
Ok we are leaving tomorrow morning at 5am will be in MB around noon on Sunday so of course there will be no storm and weather will be stellar ,my prediction lol
