Hello. We are visiting the Clemson University the last week in September -- my 16 year old son and I. We are from New Jersey and have never been here before. but hear it is just lovely.
We are renting a car to get around, and would love your advice:
- Must sees
- Great restaurants -- where the Clemson kids hang out
- Or where the locals eat
Thanks!

The ESSO Club is very popular among the students....especially during football season......speaking of which, they have home games on 9/23 and 9/30.......if you can fit that in your trip, your son will truly enjoy.

Thanks, NCGATOR -- we are going to try to catch the 9/30 game. He LOVES footbal, and has great school spirit -- one of the reasons we are visiting Clemson and USC.
Clemson is one of the few ACC schools that is considered a %26#39;football school%26#39;. Check out this website regarding The Esso Club. theessoclub.com Also, the 9/30 game is against La Tech. Traditionally, Clemson football tix are difficult to come by, but this team is relatively weak, so you can probably buy some from a student down there looking for a a little extra cash. Enjoy Clemson and %26#39;The Upstate%26#39;.
TD%26#39;s and Tiger Town Tavern - traditional college bars that also serve some food items - are located on the town%26#39;s main strip, College Avenue. Limited on-street parking only.
I%26#39;m an 03%26#39; grad. Loved Clemson! Peppino%26#39;s pizza was the best (right off College Ave.). But you can%26#39;t go wrong with Tiger Town Tavern or TD%26#39;s either. You will have a great time at the game!
