Beach in front of Sea Island on the Beach?

Hello,

I just booked a 3 bedroom suite on the 11th floor at Sea Island, and had a couple of questions. There are great reviews about the place, is there anything I should be looking out for or any tips. We are going there Sep 8 for 4 nights, will it be tremendously crowded? Is the beach nice and can we rent umbrellas and chairs? Any recommendations on kid friendly places to eat? How are the restaurants that are in the hotel?

Thanks for any info you can give me.

My hubby and I stayed at Sea Island (now called Island Vista) last year around that same time and after Labor Day, the place was virtually empty. We could park wherever we wanted; the beach was all ours. The beach in that area is very nice, but can get a little narrow during high tide, but no worries on that. Yes, there is actually a lifeguard with umbrellas right in front of the hotel, but I%26#39;m not sure how much they cost.

We didn%26#39;t eat at the restaurant there in the hotel, but it seemed nice (looking inside through the glass) and the reviews on here are pretty good; however, it did seem like everyone was dressed up, so not so sure on if it%26#39;s appropriate for small children....hopefully someone else on here can help with that.

Have a great stay...we%26#39;ll actually be leaving the day you arrive! Have fun!

Thanks for the info, I appreciate the quick answer.

We stayed in room 1105 last week (3 bedroom unit). It was very clean, and we enjoyed it. The beach is very uncrowded, the umbrellas and chairs on the beach are approx $30 per day. Didn%26#39;t try the hotel%26#39;s main restaurant, but the tiki bar serves hot/cold sandwiches and was pretty good.

They have coupon books at the hotel as well as in most grocery stores and retail stores. These books are useful in saving a few dollars at restaurants. Most restaurants were family-friendly. Good luck!
