A friend wants to go to Myrtle Beach %26amp; bring his canoe and was wondering if there were any boat launches. He will be staying near 501.i don%26#39;t know anything about this sort of thing . Anyone have any info? Thanks!

Long drive with a canoe on top of car. How many hours will it be strapped on car vs time in water? Where is he staying? Where will he keep it when he%26#39;s not using it? Won%26#39;t fit in parking garage. Might not be secure left on car unless it%26#39;s in secure location.
I%26#39;d leave it at home and look into renting a kayak for a few hours while there. Not positive but I think I remember seeing ad for canoe tours in the marshes. If that works out then maybe he could bring his own on the next trip.

thanks for your advice. I will pass it on. He will be staying Feb., March in a rented condo. Your right about the security issue. I would be afraid of it getting stolen.
