We%26#39;ve always stayed at hotels when visiting Hilton Head. We%26#39;ve been to the Marriott and the Westin. I am planning a trip for June of next year. We%26#39;ll be taking a seven day cruise out of Charleston and hope to spend four days in Hilton Head.
Do most condo owners allow you to say for a few days during the summer or do most places want you to book an entire week?
Also, does anyone know of a newer, up-to-date condo in Palmetto Dunes that is right on the ocean with oceanfront units? I%26#39;ve always been nervous about booking individual units for fear that we would get there and they could be run down, musty, etc.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Condo Questions? This is a two part question.
After the first week in June, most Condo%26#39;s are available on a weekly basis only.
The Oceanfront condo%26#39;s at Palmetto Dunes are all high end rentals. That means that for the most part they are in very good condition and not run down and musty.
If you are concerned about the condition of a unit, then you should only deal with a reputable rental agency, and not one of the private rental sites. You may pay a little more, but these companies make sure that the units are in perfect condition.
Try Resort Quest, the Vacation company, or Island Getaway. All are reputable.

Condo Questions? We rented a one bedroom condo from Beach Properties of Hilton Head www.beach-property.com. It was 3210 Windsor Court. The views were great- all oceanfront from the living room and the bedroom. The unit was in excellent condition- very clean and not at all musty. Appliances (refrigerator, washer and dryer) were all in good working order. We rented in late August for 5 nights and they were the only rental agency that had anything listed for less than a week. This property had great access to the pool and the ocean. We are definitely going back next year.
