Activities Near South Beach Inn

I am considering staying for a couple of days at the South Beach Inn after visiting Savannah.

What activities does the resort offer? Also, interested in your opinion of the inn. Is there a gate fee? I have read some other posts and gate fees have been mentioned.

Is it part of Sea Pines? This plantation concept is a little confusing to me.

What are the ';must-sees'; on HHI?

I have never been to HHI, so any advice is appreciated.

South beach inn is in Sea Pines. there is a gate fee, but as a guest you will get a pass, which will allow you free access,

As for ';must Sees';, it depends on your interests. You can walk around HarborTown and visit the famous lighthouse. If you have children then stay for Gregg Russells show, and take them to the Sandbox museum.

Take the Gullah Heritage Tour and visit the Arts Center.

there are forest preserves, both in Seapines and elsewhere which are worth your time.

depending on when you are here, there may be some special events, which are worthwhile.

mostly this is a place to chill out, and enjoy.
