is it cold on beach early october? we definitely want to swim,

but don%26#39;t want the kids to freeze.

We%26#39;re heading down the first week of October. From what we%26#39;ve heard from others we%26#39;re hoping for low to mid 80%26#39;s air temps. As hot as it%26#39;s ben this summer the water temps should still be warm.

Not an exact science but we%26#39;re hoping early Oct. weather leans more towards Sept weather.

We have have been to Myrtle Beach almost every month of the year, and have seen people in the ocean in every month. Not me Nov. through Mar., but tolerable the rest of the year. Most places have heated pools in the winter.

fergy72.......We stay in Cherry Grove section of NMB. A few blocks south of Sea Mountain stoplight. Walking distance to most everything we need. Easy drive to the rest.

If you haven%26#39;t booked a place in MB yet, check your dates. First week of Oct is Fall Bike Week. Not half as bad as the one in the Spring but could still be a little noisy in MB.

We%26#39;ve been going down the 2nd week in oct. for the last 3 years and I%26#39;d say its the best time to go.

Last year it got a little chilly by the end of the week with highs in the mid 60s had a cold front come through. But the first two years was great highs in the upper 70s to low 80s just right for sitting on the beach. At night I%26#39;d say around low 70s. water temps are still warm from the summer months.
