October Trip to the beach

Planning a trip to Myrtle Beach the second or third week of October. May stay at the Roxanne Towers. Any info about the Roxanne Towers would be appreciated. Also, how crowded is Myrtle Beach in October? Will we have any trouble getting a two bedroom condo?

October Trip to the beach

I stayed at Roxanne Towers. We loved it. Very clean and quiet. Parking is great. You park and elevator is right there. The 2 bedroom units have master bedroom ocean front. All suites are ocean front. Weather shoud be 80 and low 60 at night. It will not be crowded. Go to Huntington and MB Sate parks. We loved them.

My Wife and I have gone to Myrtle Beach in October for the last four years and plan to go, again, this October. October is a great time to go there as the weather is, usually, great except in 2005 when it rained almost the entire week. Also, October isn%26#39;t crowded, there, as the kids are back in school and there are mostly Seniors there. Last year we rented a two BR condo at the Roxanne Towers from an individual owner on VRBO.com and it worked out very well. This year we are renting a two BR, oceanfront, condo directly through Roxanne. We thought that it was a nice, clean, place to stay and the location was convenient for groceries, shops, downtown, beach, library, etc. We enjoyed the Shriner%26#39;s fish fry (flounder) that is held in Chapin park, a couple of blocks from the Roxanne. This year it is being held on Oct. 17. We can walk to the Sea Captain%26#39;s house, which is great for dinner and, we are just a short distance from the Pier 14 restaurant. All in all, we like the Roxanne towers very much. I hope that you have a great time.

In my above post, I neglected to say that we are arriving there on Oct. 8 as we preferred not to be there during the Fall Bike Week which ends on Oct. 7. It should be much easier to get into the restaurants and attractions, then.

Oct. is the best month in my opinion.

mid Sept to mid Oct can not be beat!

I just planned our trip for Oct 5th - 11th last weekend! I think MB is perfect in October -- the weather is still warm, the beaches/restaurants/stores are less crowded, way less little kids in the hotels! We%26#39;re staying at the Monterey Bay Suites - got a great deal on a suite!

That area is a good central location . Not crowded %26amp; you should get a reasonable rate that time of year.
