Which restaurant?

We%26#39;ll be at the Hampton Inn at Pawleys Island for one night on the way back to Pinehurst from Hilton Head. Looking for a very nice restaurant with good food and wine (not a fancy place...just a good place). Have been to Frank%26#39;s once and like it very much, but it%26#39;s very expensive. Haven%26#39;t been to Louis. We all love Italian, good seafood, and filet mignon. Any suggestions and menu recommendations. We%26#39;d also not want to be annoyed by young children. Thanks

Which restaurant?

Austins is great, but on the expensive side. You get what you pay for though.

Bistro 217 is new and trendy, not too expensive.

Cafe Lucia is great italian, good prices, not a kid place normally.

Louis%26#39;s is wonderful, wide variety of menu items, lots of smalll plates at reasonable prices.

Hidden gem is dining at Pawleys Plantation. Thurs and Friday evenings, reservations a must. 843-237-6100

Which restaurant?

I remember now that my husband and I dined at Cafe Lucia a couple of years ago and we really enjoyed it. Funny . . . it was recommended to us by a waitress at Frank%26#39;s . . . because it is her husband%26#39;s restaurant. Good to know it%26#39;s still good!

Pastaria 811 is very good. Many locals go there! Not as easy to fine because it%26#39;s located at the back of Litchfield Exchange, beside the Bi-Lo shopping center. The owner, David, does no advertising; he just relies on word-of-mouth, but does a tremendous business!

Our family and friends are hooked on Landolfi%26#39;s. It%26#39;s an awesome place that has the best desserts hands down! The pizza there is done in a wood fired oven brought over from Italy. Once you go there the people and atmosphere make you want to return over and over, you%26#39;ll see! It%26#39;s family run and it shows. They are towards the south end of Pawleys across from the Food Lion. You will thank me!

The Mayor%26#39;s House is excellent, but also a bit on the expensive side (similar to Frank%26#39;s)

We love the Hot Fish Club in Murrell%26#39;s Inlet (if you don%26#39;t driving a little ways up 17). Very casual, nice outdoor dining area on the water.

The best little seafood place is the Litchfield Fish House. We also like Pawleys Island Deli (not a delicatassen - just the name of the restaurant) and totally agree with another responder that Pasteria 811 is excellent. However, an undiscovered gem with outstanding food is Orobosa%26#39;s - it is slightly tucked away at the north causeway just off highway 17 (to Pawleys Island) - bright yellow building. Outstanding food!

Hi Amy,

We%26#39;re going down in two weeks and the Hot Fish CLub is on my list. Can you tell me a little more about it? How crowded does it get? Best time to go for dinner and sit outside?

Thanks

Lionsmom- below is a link to their website. The outside area only serves off the bar menu. We usually go early, around 6:00, grab a table outside have appetizers and drinks. They have a great dinner menu and you can eat on the screened in porch or indoors. I%26#39;m not sure how crowded or what the wait might be this time of the year.
